Archie and Anna moved to rural Wolsey, South Dakota. In 1907 and farmed there
for twenty years. In 1927 they returned to Iowa and farmed In the Blairstown and
Norway communities until Archie retired. He also did carpenter work.

Violet is well known in the area for her interior decorating and painting work. Curtiss owned and operated a farm, was a building contractor, and had a dance band - the Bennett Dance Band. This band was known as "super." Curtiss at one time sat in and played with Lawrence Welk when he and his band were touring South Dakota.

Leo worked for Benton County and for the Iowa State Highway Commission. He moved to California where he was a painting contractor for a number of years. He returned to Iowa when he retired and now lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
